For creator companies in media and entertainment
The IP Growth System vs. hiring in-house.
Hiring in-house means building a team first, then designing the system that runs the business from a blank page. With the IP Growth System, Symbonic connects that system around the business and the tools you already use, starting from existing blueprints, its registered frameworks and technology already built and run in market. Either way, you can own what gets built.
How the two compare.
| Area | Hire in-house | The IP Growth System |
|---|---|---|
| Where it starts | Hire the team, then design the system around the business. | Gear 1: a two-week growth map of what the business owns, how it earns and where growth leaks. You keep the map. |
| What it's built from | What the team builds or buys. | Existing blueprints, Symbonic's registered frameworks, and technology built and run in market from 2021 to 2026. |
| The tools you run now | Your team decides what to keep and what to replace. | They stay, and they're connected in. |
| Who runs it | The people you hire. | You choose: your own team, or Symbonic runs it with you. |
| Who owns it | You own what your team builds. | You choose: own it outright, license it, or have us run it. Symbonic keeps its trademarks and core technology. |
When in-house fits.
If the business already has an operator and a technology team who have designed and built systems like this before, and you want every part made to your own design, build it in-house.
That's rarer than it sounds. More often, the work goes to whoever is good with spreadsheets. They aren't architects or technologists, so they buy one off-the-shelf tool per problem, and the business ends up with a bigger mess than the one it started with. The system that runs the business has to be designed as a whole, to last.
So in our view, for a creator company, hiring in-house is rarely the real choice. You don't have to pick one. Symbonic can work inside your team or be your in-house team, and you can own or license the system and run it with your own people.
When the IP Growth System fits.
If deals and rights still live in email, shared folders and someone's memory, and you'd rather start from built technology than from a hiring plan.
You bring the content and the audience. Symbonic connects the engine around them. It starts up front, with creative and business development: developing the idea, business affairs, option agreements, packaging, and the early deals with co-producers, financiers and talent. Then Apex Global Agency, our partner, takes it to market: digital experience and every way you earn. AI works inside all of it.
It starts with Gear 1: a two-week growth map of what your business owns, how it earns today and where growth leaks. You keep the map, whichever way you build.
Who this is for, and who it isn't.
We work with media and entertainment businesses that have become companies.
Built for
A creator-led business that shows at least three of these four:
- A company structure: a parent or holding company, not only a personal brand.
- An operator: a CEO, COO, GM or head of business affairs running it, not only the creator or the manager.
- Capital or a backer: outside investment, a fund, or a studio, agency or management firm building the business with you.
- More than one income line: media plus brand partnerships, licensing, products, formats or live.
Not the right fit
- Still building the audience or the personal brand? A creator coaching or growth program fits better.
- A solo creator who needs a brand-deal CRM or a sponsorship tracker? A tool built for that fits better.
- Looking for a project-management tool? A tool built for that fits better.
- Want a strategy deck or hourly consulting, with no system behind it? A consultancy fits better.
- Shopping for a single AI tool? Buy the tool. Here, AI works inside the system.
- Outside media and entertainment? We work in media and entertainment only.

Questions
What is the difference between the IP Growth System and hiring in-house?
Hiring in-house means building a team first and designing the system from scratch. With the IP Growth System, Symbonic connects existing blueprints, its registered frameworks and technology built and run in market from 2021 to 2026 around the business, together with the tools it already runs. It starts with Gear 1, a two-week growth map the business keeps.
When is building in-house the better choice?
When the business already has an operator and a technology team who have designed and built systems like this before, and wants every part made to its own design. More often the work goes to someone without that background, who buys one off-the-shelf tool per problem and leaves a bigger mess. In Symbonic's view, that is why hiring in-house is rarely the real choice for a creator company. Symbonic can work inside the team or be the in-house team, and the business can own or license the system and run it with its own people.
Can we own the system if Symbonic builds it?
Yes. Once the system is built, the business chooses to own it outright, license it from Symbonic, or have Symbonic run it. The choice is set in the deal. Symbonic keeps its trademarks and core technology in every case.
Can our own team run it?
Yes. A business that licenses the system can run it with its own team, and a business that owns it outright runs it as its own. A business that wants Symbonic to run it can choose that instead.
Do we have to replace the tools we already use?
No. The tools the business already runs stay and are connected into the system.
Is Symbonic a fit for our business?
Symbonic works with creator-led media and entertainment businesses that have become companies, showing at least three of four signals: a company structure, an operator such as a CEO or COO running it, capital or a backer, and more than one income line. It is not the right fit for creators still building an audience, solo creators who need a brand-deal or sponsorship tracker, buyers who want a project-management tool, a strategy deck or a single AI tool, or any business outside media and entertainment.
